What is Survivor and how does scoring work?
Survivor is played by using each handicap game bowled per game.
Each game you score points by where you placed per game.
Example Game 1
John Doe 229
Jane Doe 245
Rocky Collins 279
Catherine Lease 249
Eric Velazquez 300
Let us say out of 120 bowlers these 5 scores were the highest in game 1. This would mean:
Eric Velazquez: 1 point
Rocky Collins: 2 points
Catherine Lease: 3 points
Jane Done: 4 points
John Doe: 5 points
This point structure would continue with all 120 bowlers. So if you placed 18th you would receive 18 points. All 3 games are played with this point structure. We will include handicap series for all 3 games using the same point structure.
The Top 3 with the least amount of points automatically advance to Finals while 4th through 15th go to a shoot out.
Each bowler who places 4-15th will bowl in a 1 game shootout. After 1 game bowled the 6 bowlers with the highest handicap game bowled will advance and have 1 more shootout. The 3 bowlers with the highest handicap game bowled during the second shootout advance to the finals.
During the Finals the top 6 will bowl 3 games with the Survivor format. Point structure will change: Now the bowler wants the highest points to win.
1st Place: 25 points
2nd Place: 20 points
3rd Place: 15 points
4th Place: 10 points
5th Place: 5 points
6th Place: 0
This pointing structure will be used for all 3 games including handicap series. At the end of all 3 games bowled we will determine our “Eric Velazquez Survivor Champion.”
35.00 entry fees are due by January 15th.
