All Bowlers Compete in 3 Games
“3 Game Qualifier”
80 Bowlers bowl a minimum of 3 games or maximum 5 games
Points will be awarded to bowlers after each game of the 3 Game Qualifier. Points received by bowlers are calculated by a factor of 1 point by using handicap total result and ranked placement for game bowled.
80 bowlers have completed game 1 and your total handicap score is 258 which placed you in 11th place for game 1. The 11th place finish would result in receiving 11 points.
Game 2 your total handicap score is 201 which placed you in 61st place in game 2. The 61st finish for game 2 would result in receiving 61 points.
Game 3 your total handicap score is 281 which placed you in 2nd place in game 3. The second place finish for game 3
Game 1 258 11th Place- 11 Points
Game 2 201 61st Place- 61 Points
Game 3 281 2nd Place- 2 Points
Total Points= 74 Points (All 3 games)
3 Game Series is not part of the tournament format and will NOT receive points.
The Top 10 bowlers who receive the lowest total of combined points from the 3 game qualifier will advance to game 4.
The bowler in game 4 currently ranked 1st in leader board with lowest points will choose his or her lane before competing in Game 4 and followed by each top ranked bowler of it’s 10 qualifiers. (1 bowler per lane)
In Game 4 the qualifying Top 10 bowlers will bowl 1 game determining the Top 5 bowlers to advance to game 5. (Championship)
Awarded points in game 4 will be calculated by a factor of 8 and combined to total points previously received from each bowlers 3 game qualifier.
1st Place would receive 8 Points
2nd Place would receive 16 Points
3rd Place would receive 24 points
9th Place would receive 72 points
10th Place would receive 80 points
Results from game 4 will be added to points received from 3 game qualifier in determining the 5 bowlers to advance to Championship Round.
The bowler ranked first (lowest combined points) will decide which position he or she will bowl in the line-up, followed by second, third and fourth. The remaining vacant position in the line up will be completed by the 5th ranked bowler.
Points awarded in the “Championship Game” will be calculated by a factor of 16 and combined to total points previously received from each bowlers 4 games.
1st Place would receive 16 point
2nd Place would receive 32 points
3rd place would receive 48 points
4th place would receive 64 points
5th Place would receive 80 points
Results from Championship Game will determine tournament results by adding points awarded from previous 4 games bowled to points received in Championship Game.
AVERAGES
Bowler shall use their USBC or IGBO highest book average from the winter 2020-2021 season (minimum 21 games)
If no winter average of 2020-2021 is available the highest book average from the Winter 2019-2020 season will be used. (minimum 21 games)
If a bowlers 2019-2020 book average (minimum 21 games) is 10 pins or more than the Winter 2020-2021 league average, the highest average will be used.
